- Implied contracts. What to do if youāve no contract and thereās a dispute.
- The role of the licence in showing work with galleries.
- Artists as both consumers and creators of artistic work.
- There will also be a Q&A session towards the end of the workshop.

Brenda Tobin is a specialist intellectual property solicitorĀ dealing exclusively in media, theĀ arts and entertainment since 2000. Her practice is mainly nonĀ contentious, involvingĀ contract drafting andĀ negotiations for the creative sector. SheĀ representsĀ all forms of content producers from animators to musicians,Ā practicing visual artists, photographers and writers, who create content forĀ all forms ofĀ media.
BrendaĀ has set up and run aĀ copyright department for a large UK law firm based in London, representing international creative organisations involvingĀ High Court litigation. She was In House Counsel in RTE, Irelandās National Broadcaster, for 9 years where she focused on television production and RTEās digital services.
She is also an experienced defamation lawyer and has reviewed content for such investigative programmes as Prime Time Investigates, and more recently for a new internationalĀ investigative journalism platform.
