Spring Workshops with Read That Image, Dublin

Read That Image are pleased to announce workshops for the Spring season, Stitching Sessions returns with monthly bookbinding workshops taking place in the RTI Studio throughout 2019. They’re thrilled to be collaborating with Blow Photo and Fuse to bring you our first Make a Photobook workshop of the year, taking place in D-Light Studio on the 6th, 7th, and 14th of April.

The ever popular Stitching Sessions workshops will take place in both the RTI studio and the Gallery of Photography. Workshop participants will learn about the different papers, materials and tools needed to create their own hand-bound books. Members of the RTI team will guide participants step-by-step through various bookbinding techniques in these hands on DIY workshops. Workshop participants will leave with their own handmade notebooks and the knowledge and understanding of how to apply these binding techniques to their own book projects.

Join the RTI team for three days of thinking, discussing and photobook-making in our first Make a Photobook workshop of 2019. Taking place across two weekends, participants will explore each stage of the bookmaking process and design and hand-bind their own photobook dummies. We’re also thrilled to announce that Valentina Abenavoli, of Akina photobook publishers, will be joining us for the first two days of the workshop. Valentina will be on hand to work with participants on editing, sequencing and designing their photobook dummies and will give a little insight into the world of photobook publishing.
