Ruth Clinton and Niamh Moriarty will screen two short films never before seen in Dublin. Above the Intricate Sun and Flicker (made in 2017 and 2016, respectively) each build on a rhythmic refrain to describe a bewildering encounter with our surroundings. A profusion of associations and references endeavour to articulate the noise and interruptions that inevitably come between people, places and objects.
Flicker (2016) 25′ 21″
A short film developed during a residency at Sirius Arts Centre, Cobh in 2016 and later screened at the Femmes Underground International Film Festival in San Diego.
Above, the Intricate Sun (2017) 20”
