Residency Open Call | BEYOND at ACA, Northumberland, UK

BEYOND is an ambitious project that will bring together an eclectic mix of artists, curators, astronomers, scientists and audiences to take advantage of the new North Pennines Observatory at ACA. We are seeking an artist/creative practitioner with a strong track record and innovative practice.

Artist in Residence

The residency will provide an opportunity to research, develop and present new work and to engage with a wide range of participants.
The successful applicant will be offered a four week (20 day) residency at mutually agreed dates between February and June 2018.
He/she will be expected to:

Develop his/her work (in any medium) relating to the BEYOND project.
Contribute to our ongoing programme of educational and public engagement events

ACA will offer accommodation, studio space, access to the astronomical observatory on site, observatory tuition and guidance, exhibition or presentation opportunities and a fee of £2,000.

A limited budget will be available for production/travel/event costs which will be negotiated with the curators.
