Relief Printing Workshop at Black Church Print Studio, Dublin 2

This workshop will demonstrate the techniques of relief printmaking using the lino block. Transferring the image to the block, use of tools, inking, and printing will be covered using the press and by hand. Individual tuition will follow as students go on to produce their own lino blocks. Blind Embossing, a technique which lends itself to the relief technique will also be discussed and students will be encouraged to incorporate this into their work.
Suitable for beginners. Max number of participants: 6. Tutor: Caroline Byrne.
Note: The ability to create a print using hand tools makes this a very flexible technique to pursue without continued access to a print studio.
