Open Call | WERKhouse Performances, THISISPOPBABY, Dublin
Application deadline: 2 February
THISISPOPBABY have announced a national call out for short performances to take place at WERKhouse, a night of performance, politics and partying on 17th March as part of Where We Live, with St. Patrick’s Festival.
THISISPOPBABY are looking for artists and performers to apply with short performance pieces which respond to the theme of home, and what it feels like to live in Dublin and Ireland today. Performance pieces can be of any genre, style or mood, and we have a particular interest in minority voices and voices not usually heard in mainstream Irish theatre or media.
The performance piece should be between 3-8 minutes long and be technically low fi. Performers must be available during the day of Saturday 17 March for technical rehearsal and show.
Successful proposals will receive a performance fee.
To apply, please email tomorrow@thisispopbaby.com with a (maximum) 1-page proposal detailing:
- your proposed performance piece
- how it responds to the theme
- technical requirements
- brief biog including links if relevant.
- If your performance piece is an existing text, sound or video file, please send that in too.
