Open Call | Public Art Proposals for Festival of Thrift 2018, UK

Public artwork proposals are invited for the wider programme around Festival of Thrift, which takes place in September 2018. The festival itself will take place in Kirkleatham, Redcar, these commissions are intended to extend the reach of the event across the Tees Valley.
Artists are asked to respond to the broad theme of future sustainability – proposals which explore aspects of the ecology, technology, landscape, history or industries of the Tees Valley will be particularly welcomed. Proposals can be for new commissions, existing works or adaptations.
The works selected will be sited in accessible locations in the Tees Valley open to the public for up to a week during May Bank holiday 2018 (May 28th week). Additional online presence will be encouraged. There is a fee of £5,000 plus expenses.
