Open Call | Interface Artists in Residence 2018/19, Galway

Application deadline: 2 March

Interface invites applications to the artists in residence programme Autumn 2018 – Spring 2019. Residencies take place over periods of between two and six weeks at Cloonacartan, The Inagh Valley, Co. Galway.

Interface strives to provide catalysing opportunities for artists in residence to engage with other artists through a unique platform which explores the intersections between science and art. Interface prioritise proposals with an emphasis on science and art or which respond to the unique environment at the aquacultural facility. The programme is open to writers, musicians and visual artists.

Interface provide the artist with studio space and accommodation. The artist is responsible for their own travel to, from and around Connemara, and for transportation of their own materials and artwork home. Interface endeavour to introduce the artist to the local artistic community through meetings and potential artist’s talks.

Applications for residency are made by emailing a pdf to the address info@alannahrobins.com. The pdf should include the following:

  • Your proposal for your residency period (max. A4)
  • CV
  • Artist’s statement
  • Eight samples of recent work
  • Please include a letter of reference in the email.
