a-n is the largest artists’ membership organisation in the UK with over 22,000 members. a-n is seeking new Board members to join its governance team as the organisation gets ready to celebrate its 40th anniversary in 2020. a-n Board determines policy and sets the strategic direction of the organisation. Board members play an active role representing a-n externally as well as monitoring the organisation against its agreed objectives and targets.
Chair of a-n Jayne Knight and CEO Julie Lomax are leading the search for new Board members to develop the skills base. They are particularly looking for the following skills and experience: Communications and marketing (digital); Curating and producing contemporary visual art; Art market and commercial gallery sector; Digital and technology sector; Fundraising and business development.
This is a pivotal time for the organisation with ambitious ideas, programmes and a critical role to play championing, campaigning for and supporting visual artists.
