“Body/ Battleground; bodily autonomy beyond the 8th amendment” is a group art exhibition looking to highlight peoples relationship to their body outside of mainstream activism. Through bringing artists of different backgrounds together the hope is to foster a critically engaged visual culture that values the perspective from the margins.
Body/ Battleground are doing a call out for artists for a week long exhibition that will be held at a publicly accessible venue. The exhibition will be mid to late summer and artists will be paid €300 for the submission of three pieces that they will also have the opportunity to sell. Please note: these terms are subject to change depending on gallery availability/ fees/ fundraising etc.

Body/ Battleground want to hear from people who don’t usually get a look in, sex workers, Travellers, intersex people, disabled folx, people of African descent, trans and non binary people, etc. and they have an open idea of what visual art is.
