Trinity College Library are excited to welcome expert speakers from nearby and overseas, who will explore the meaning of digital preservation from two angles. Amber Cushing (UCD) will give an overview of the challenges facing the owners and curators of digital cultural materials, with particular reference to her recent research on the digital curatorial landscape in Ireland. Anna Gerber and Britt Iverson (Visual Editions) will then present some of their projects at the cutting edge of digital narration, resulting in forms of publishing that might resist preservation. Together, the speakers and audience are invited to play with the question: What are the limits to long-term preservation in the digital world?
