Kitchen Abyss: (An introductory guide to) Abuse-Bouches Workshop with Domestic Godless, Cork
As part of The Guesthouse Projects programme of residencies The Domestic Godless present the first in a series of alternative culinary workshops, events and demonstrations.
Call them what you will – canapés, hors-d’ouevres, amuse-bouches – the opening course of any successful dinner party will demand the presentation of delightful little bites designed to ignite the palates of your guests. But what do you do when the supermarket shelves become bereft of luxuries or your only larder is the neighbourhood swamp? Even worse… what happens when your know-it-all dinner-party guests are fatigued by your cooking?
Don’t be dissuaded! Time to get creative…
Presented by Stephen Brandes with a selection of highly unusual ingredients and unorthodox combinations, amaze, bewilder and terrify your guests. This workshop will guide participants to create their own selection of weird and delicious post-apocalyptic amuse-bouches. Participants will also, at the end of the day, be able to invite a guest to join us to sit and sample the results.
Note: preparation of these dishes will include meat, fish and dairy products and quite possibly some things that may potentially affect allergy sufferers.
Places will be limited to 6 people.
