The Darkroom is looking for an enthusiastic Intern to help with the Administrative aspects of running a dynamic non-for profit organisation focused on promoting and celebrating analogue photography from both Irish and international photographers and artists. The Darkroom was founded in 2010 by Mella Travers in Block T, Smithfield. In 2016 Mella relocated the Darkroom to its current fully fitted location in Stoneybatter.
They are looking for an Administrative Intern proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Power Point) and Google Drive as well as having an understanding of Social Media platforms. The ideal candidate would have an interest in the Arts and Photography especially. At The Darkroom we are a small team so it is very important as a prospective Intern to enjoy working as part of a team as well as on your own initiative, a friendly attitude and a good sense of humor would help too!
The position requires a commitment of three full days per week for a three months period starting on 20th of May. This is an unpaid role with potential of developing into a paid position. In exchange for your time at The Darkroom you will have free full access to the facilities and courses for the duration of the Internship as well as being supported in your own personal work through portfolio reviews and critiques.
