Funding | Individual Disabled/Deaf Artists Grants, Northern Ireland

Application deadline: 12 April

The iDA funding programme is a dedicated annual arts development programme, delivered through the Arts & Disability Forum, to enable deaf and disabled artists who are working in a range of art forms to develop their professional artistic careers.

The bursaries provide valuable opportunities for each artist to produce a new high-quality creative work, receive training or professional mentoring.

Applicants must have lived in Northern Ireland for a continuous period of 12 months prior to making the application. This is a developmental scheme, so iDA welcome applications from emerging talent as well as from more established artists. This is not a scheme for people with no artistic experience.

The maximum grant is £5,000 and although grants have been made at this level, most grants are lower than this and are more likely to be at the £1,500 to £2,000 mark.
