Documentary and Street Photography Workshop, Belfast
Photographers Simon and Lorna Mills have worked internationally documenting events, creative practices and the hustle and bustle of urban life. Come and join them at their new studio in the Little America Congress on Hopefield Avenue.
In this workshop you will learn the skills necessary to start to take your photography out onto the street, anticipate and capture those fleeting moments and tell a story, exploring a space and environment with your camera.
Weโll start the day with a brief presentation (accompanied with some delicious cake and tea or coffee from Lorna) to help build your documentary photography skills. Then weโll go out on a photowalk around the Waterworks and put those skills into action. Make sure to wear comfortable walking shoes and bring a jacket!
This workshop is open to all levels of photographer and all types of camera (even your phone)! Itโs also an ideal opportunity for those who have attended our Introduction to Manual Photography workshop on 7th October as it will be another opportunity to practice your new skills! Weโll both be on hand throughout the day to answer any questions you might have so donโt hesitate to come along even if youโre a complete beginner โ thereโs room for every skill level.
