The Model is currently seeking applications for the position of Curatorial Assistant, (Exhibitions). The role and responsibilities involve assisting the curatorial team to deliver the exhibition programme and supporting the management of The Niland Collection; researching, developing and delivering exhibition tours; the Curatorial Assistant will train invigilators, Front of House staff and volunteers to mediate exhibitions to the public.
Good written and verbal communication skills, numeric and computer skills, and an enjoyment of working with the public are essential. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with the ability to prioritise within a team environment, has a responsible, flexible and conscientious attitude and values attention to detail. Occasional weekend and evening work is required and this position requires a high degree of flexibility.
The position is available under the FAS community employment scheme and involves nineteen and a half hours per week. The workweek will regularly include weekends and evenings.
