Orchid Studios (originally established in 1990 in the old Orchid Ballroom on King Street, Belfast) is an artist run group providing studio space for visual artists in Belfast city centre. Orchid Studios provides a base for innovative, experimental, inquisitive and ambitious arts practices in a wide range of forms. Artists have presented their work in exhibitions, performances, festivals, screenings, publications etc., across Northern Ireland, the UK, Ireland and Internationally, including at Belfast Exposed, Golden Thread Gallery, Fenderesky Gallery, Void, Gimpel Fils, Temple Bar Gallery, Project Arts, and international platforms such as the Venice Biennale and the Museum of Contemporary Art, Sydney.
