This workshop will concentrate on presenting art practice and communicating ideas through text, creating a budget and compiling supporting documentation. There will be a focus on available funding opportunities on a local and national level, breaking down tasks needed to complete an application / proposal, and what happens once funding is awarded. This workshop will also be an opportunity to exchange information and ideas with peers. The day will begin with a focus on the artist’s statement as a foundational tool, and participants are asked to bring a hard copy of their current artist statement.
