The Fundamentals of Encaustic Painting Workshop with Joanna Kidney, Co.Wicklow

The fundamentals of Encaustic Painting Workshop is open to all, but best suited to those new to the medium or with a small amount of experience. It will cover the multiple techniques of encaustic painting; supports; equipment and tools; paints/paint recipes and health and safety. An experimental exploration of the paint’s qualities will be encouraged (texture, translucency/opacity, incising and impressing, building up/breaking down layers). Class sizes are small, allowing plenty of one to one. All materials are included in the cost. A €30 non refundable deposit is required with booking.
