Sculptural Books, Folded Leaf with Éilis Murphy at the National Print Museum

Create your own 3-dimensional books with bookbinder Éilís Murphy. In this workshop, participants will create a variety of non-traditional hardback books including flag books, star books and alternative concertina books. Through the craft of bookbinding, we will experiment with different forms that will bring sculptural form to your ideas. You will gain knowledge of how to use book binding tools and the basic principles of bookbinding. Please bring along any decorative paper or ideas that you would like to incorporate into your books. Suitable for beginners.
