Recycled textile Art with Sally-Ann Duffy

This recycled textile art workshop is aimed at beginners and those with more advanced sewing skills. During this workshop, Sally-Ann will teach you some basic embroidery techniques that will make unusual and recycled materials into colourful mixed media textile art.

Techniques in the class include; mixed media sequin making and contemporary ways to use traditional embroidery stitches and appliqué.

All materials for this workshop are included, but you are welcome to bring along any material that you would like to incorporate into your textile art such as found materials, broken jewellery or favourite scraps of fabric, old jumpers, interesting small objects, lids, buttons, beads etc.

You will leave the workshop with a unique piece of textile art.
