Polyester Plate Lithography Weekend Course at Cork Printmakers

Polyester Plate Lithography is a very immediate and gratifying version of a classic printmaking technique. It allows artists to draw directly onto a plate, using a range of materials including Indian ink, biro, permanent marker and more. The inexpensive plates can also be printed on digitally and their semi transparency allows for tracing imagery. Artists can make consistent editions from these plates, while cutting out much of the time and labour consuming steps associated with stone lithography. This course would be a logical next step for anyone who has completed the ‘Kitchen Lithography’ course, but prior experience in lithography is not necessary.

Dates: Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th August. Depending on participant’s requirements, this can be run as a 1 day or 2 day course.
