Photography Classes with Rob Allen at The Gallery Cafe, Gort, Co. Galway

The four classes will progress through an introduction to the history of photography, camera handling, overcoming technical challenges, image polishing, and next steps toward having your work seen by a wider audience.

There will be time during each class dedicated to accompanied shooting in and around Gort. Please dress for the weather!
Ideally, each student will have access to a smartphone and a more advanced camera. Laptops are preferred for practical and efficient storage and editing during the month, but smartphones and tablets could be used for the class.

Instructor: Robert Allen BFA, MFA
New to Gort, having recently moved from Toronto, along with being a professional photographer for thirty years, Roby has shared his passion for photography with adult and undergraduate learners at Ryerson University and Humber College since 1999. He has guest lectured at universities in Halifax, Nova Scotia and here in Ireland in the Limerick School of Art & Design as well as mounting nine solo exhibitions.
