Painting the Figure in Oils with Will Nathans at Artform, Dunmore East

This is a 4 day intensive workshop devoted to painting the posed model in oils with American Artist Will Nathans. The first two days will be one session paintings, focusing on getting the essentials of the model. Emphasis will be placed on solid drawing and colour values and temperature. How to place the figure on to your canvas and begin to model the forms. Demonstrations will be conducted for the students throughout the course. The final two days will focus on one pose for the duration of the course allowing students to delve deeper into their paintings and into painting technique. Light/shade, anatomy, gesture, weight distribution and character will all be practiced and demonstrated. All levels are Welcome.
