Open Call | Young Friends of the Earth Ireland Environmental Art Exhibition 2019

Young Friends of the Earth Ireland is inviting applications for its upcoming environmental art exhibition. The vision of this exhibition is twofold:
1. Giving Artists a platform to talk about Climate Change
2. Presenting Climate Change through creative mediums

This exhibition is seeking artists, both emerging and established, whose work incorporates themes of the environment, community and climate change and who will contribute one or more pieces on these themes. This exhibition is open to all mediums (visual arts, performance, music, sculpture etc.) and will take place in Dublin city centre in Spring 2019. As an intersectional group, Young Friends of the Earth IrelandΒ would encourage works by intersectional artists and pieces that focus on climate change and intersectionality. They will also accept collaborative work by artists, environmental organisations and activist groups.

Applications should take the form of one PDF document and include:
1) Up-to-date CV (1 page max)
2) Statement about your art practice, detailing themes and use of media (100 words max)
3) Statement outlining your interest in the exhibition (100 words max)
4) Examples of work: documentation in the form of images or Youtube/Vimeo links. Please include the title, medium, date of work. (10 works max)

Please note: the venue is yet to be confirmed. There will be an artist fee, expected to be between €100-300 per artist, dependent on funding. The organisers will cover installation costs and opening reception.
