Submissions are now open for the Sculpture in Context Annual Open Exhibition 2019. Sculpture in Context offers an unparalleled opportunity for artists to exhibit their work in Dublin’s National Botanic Gardens. For the six weeks of the exhibition, the 50 acre gardens will be transformed into a magnificent outdoor gallery, providing a striking backdrop for sculpture. It continues to be the largest and most exciting outdoor sculpture exhibition in Ireland.

Entry forms should be posted to: Sculpture in Context, PO Box 10054, Dublin 16. The exhibition will run from 5th September to 18th October 2019.
Sculpture in Context Awards of €500 each for large outdoor works of distinction in any medium. (size to be in excess of 1m) Mill Cove Gallery Award. – An award for a work of distinction in any medium, with immediate representation from the gallery and the opportunity of a solo exhibition in 2018 at the Mill Cove Gallery and Sculpture Gardens, Castletownbere.
The Zozimus Purchase Award – An award for a work of distinction in any medium exhibited in the gallery.
McKeon Stone Awards – First Prize of €1,000. Second Prize of Limestone Stone to the value of €700. Third Prize of Limestone Stone to the value of €400Bronze Art Award – Casting and foundry costs to the value of €1,200 at the foundry.
Peoples Choice Award – Two additional monetary awards of €250 will be presented at the end of the exhibition for the most popular indoor and outdoor sculpture voted by the public.
Please note: Due to a large increase in Insurance charges Sculpture in Context have had to raise their entrance fee. Proposals must be accompanied by a fee of €15 if only one work is to be submitted or a fee of €25 for more than one work. Up to 3 works may be submitted. The fee is non-refundable.
