Open Call | Performance Programme 2019 at GalleryX at Feast Restaurant, Dublin
GalleryX is looking for performance artists to present shows in its new venue located within Feast Restaurant, Dublin 8 in 2019.
Performances should ideally last between 30 and 120 minutes. They can be theatre, visual theatre, performance art, music, spoken word, or anything not listed above. They are looking for shows that are:
Baroque, Clever, Courting disaster, Daring, Dark, Deranged, Desire-inducing, Emotional, Fantastic, Focused on highlighting the hidden recesses of the human soul, Fun, Genre-bending, Mental, Mind-blowing, Mouth-agaping, Narrative, Panhumanist, Provocative, Scandalous, Sensual, Unexpected, Unsettling
They are NOT looking for shows that are:
Academic, Charitable, Concerned, Cryptic, Focused on highlighting inequality, Formal, Highbrow, Minimalist, Nationalist, Politically or otherwise correct, Safe, Scaredycat
Depending on practical considerations, the shows can either be free to the audience (and then the gallery cannot afford to pay the performer, but the space is available free of charge) or ticketed (in which case the gallery will share the revenue with the performer).
Dinner-and-a-show proposals will be given special consideration. Weirdness always welcome.
