The deadline for submissions: 5 April, 5pm.
Building on the success of last year’s Art and Psyche Symposium, artists are invited to submit visual artwork to be included in an exhibition that is to accompany this year’s event (26th April 2019 – Limerick School of Art & Design). This year’s theme centres around the Divine Feminine and around the possibility of seeding a new myth for our time. The accompanying exhibition will take place in the foyer space of LSAD and run for 2 weeks: 26 APR – l0 MAY. Art and Psyche 2019 will also take the form of an Online Publication with the hope of capturing something of this unique event and accompanying exhibition.
The exhibition will be curated by Lynda Phelan, an artist and independent curator based in Kilkenny and a current MA student at Limerick School of Art and Design. Please send images of work to be considered to firstname.lastname@example.org along with an artist statement (max 300 words). This text will be displayed alongside artworks as part of the exhibition and online publication. Please include relevant information such as Medium, Dimensions and Year of Creation.
Selected artists will be notified by 5pm on 8th April. Artworks will need to be delivered to LSAD ready for hanging by 5pm on 23rd April. And all work will need to be collected again before 15th May.
Please note that there is no fee for selected artists. However, all selected artists may attend the full day of the symposium for less than half-price at €25. Please note, a separate Booking Link will be sent out to successful artists.
