Application deadline is Midnight (GMT+1) Wednesday, 23 January 2019.

The Artists Development Programme 2019, is a six week-long residency in Luxembourg for a visual artist to work on the theme of โ€œUrban rejuvenation: Limerick as a source of inspirationโ€. The programme seeks to develop the recipients artistic practice and enable the creation of new work under the mentorship of acclaimed Finnish artist Jorma Puranen. The residency in Luxembourg will take place between the end of May and the beginning of July 2019. Travel to and from Ireland, accommodation and a subsistence allowance are included.

Budget and duration
The EIB Institute will cover the artistโ€™s travel costs to and from Luxembourg (for the residency), and to and from Jorma Puranenโ€™s studio (before the start of the residency). The artist will receive a EUR 100 (one hundred euro) flat-rate daily allowance intended to cover their subsistence costs during the period of residency and all or part of their production costs, and will be provided with a living/working space. In addition to the above, the artist will be granted, at the beginning of the residency, a contribution towards production of EUR 500 (five hundred euro) and, at the end of the residency, a success fee of EUR 1 000 (one thousand euro), provided that he/she has produced a work or body of works. The residency in Luxembourg will take place between the end of May and the beginning of July 2019. Upon completion of the residency, the EIB might consider acquiring an artwork produced on-site from the artist. In the event that the EIB agrees to acquire an artwork, it will feature in the exhibition Belonging โ€“ works from the collection of the European Investment Bank, to take place in Limerick, Ireland, in 2020.
