Open Call | Digital Arts Studios Home Residency and Exhibition Opportunity, Belfast
Deadline for applications: 6 January 2019 (midnight).
Digital Arts Studios is now accepting applications for the next Home Residency, which is open to artists based in the UK and Ireland. This four-month residency will run from February to May 2019 inclusive.
The residencies offer the selected artists time to work on a specific project of their choice, develop their skills and artistic practice. DAS welcome proposals from artists from any background who engage with digital technologies to push the boundaries of their own practice and indeed, to a certain extent, the cultural world around us.
DAS will be presenting its second Annual Review in March 2020, giving Home Residents the exciting opportunity to exhibit in one of Belfastβs contemporary art galleries. The Annual Review will showcase a curated selection of works by artists who have participated in the Home Residency between February 2019 and January 2020.
The Home Residency fee of Β£60 per month entitles you to a personal iMac workstation programmed with relevant software such as Final Cut Pro X and Adobe CS6. You will have 24-hour access to the shared studios, access to a range of equipment (DSLRs, video & sound recording equipment), and technical support and advice from staff during office hours.
Residents are exempt from equipment hire and workshop fees. By accepting a Home Residency the artist enters into a contract to pay Β£60 per month for that four-month period.
Please note our new studios are based on the second floor of the Cathedral Buildings in central Belfast but unfortunately there is no lift access.
