Open Call | Artspace Residency Opportunity, Lough Neagh

Artspace is a dedicated artist’s studio facility situated in Oxford Island National Nature Reserve on the southern shores of Lough Neagh.

Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council are seeking proposals from arts organisations with the capacity to deliver a 12 month programme of creative engagement activity at Artspace for groups, residents and visitors to the area. The residency will provide a prominent base for an arts organisation to deliver innovative creative programmes that make a significant contribution to our aim to make the borough an inspirational and creative place offering quality, inclusive arts and cultural experiences.

The offer includes:

  • Rent-free use of Artspace for 12 months (with the possibility of extension)
  • A programming budget of £5000
  • 24/7 access to the space and all equipment (including a ceramic kiln) and resources within
  • Support and guidance of the Arts Development team

Your application should include:

  • A description of your organisation’s creative engagement activity over the past 24 months
  • 8-12 images of participative arts projects delivered by your organisation
  • Details of the roles and responsibilities of employees, contracted staff, volunteers, members
  • Your constitution, safeguarding policy and evidence of public liability insurance
  • A residency proposal (max 4xA4 pages) to include:
  • Proposed programme of activity detailing the groups you aim to engage, proposed art forms, artists involved in the delivery and creative outputs
  • Evidence of research into the level need for your programme
  • An indicative timetable, including proposed opening times for visitors
  • Outline of programme costs
  • Outline of your organisation’s fundraising strategy for 2018/2019
