Deadline for applications: 6 July
Artlink invites submissions of work in any medium, around the idea of “the Everyday”, for its 2018 annual members’ show, curated by Rita McMahon of 126 Artist-Run Gallery, Galway. What this theme means to each individual artist and the medium in which they work is open to wide interpretation. It can be an exploration of self, of place, of object, material or philosophy. The Everyday is in a sense a ‘celebration’ of the perhaps overlooked aspects of life, the mundane, the common, the usual. However the exploration of this topic does not need to mean an exploration of ‘the boring’. It could be the antithesis of this. The superfluous, the celebrated, the loud, bright and glitzy parts of life that make us realise the differences in our day to day lives.
Up to 3 proposals/ideas for work with relevant images, in any medium, are invited from Artlink members (please state medium, dimensions etc)
Send applications in PDF format to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Hand in dates for selected work 10th and 11th July.
Please note: This exhibition is open to members of Artlink only, there is no artist fee.
