Open Call | 8Γ—8 Festival, Photo Exhibition

Application deadline: 30 June

The 8Γ—8 Festival is a photo exhibition developed for students which tours campuses in Ireland to highlight global justice issues. The 8Γ—8 Festival 2018 will explore the complexities of identity through narratives of mutual respect and discrimination. This year’s Festival will engage students in narratives from a diverse range of communities; promoting critical awareness of key issues surrounding discrimination in Ireland and globally.

The 8Γ—8 Festival this year is going to present multiple perspectives surrounding discrimination in Ireland. They are collaborating with advocacy groups and individuals to give them a platform to share their stories of discrimination in Ireland. To pair with these stories of discrimination, we are asking artists to contribute photographic works that reflect on discrimination in Ireland.
