Two days of drawing responding to the materials in the Andrew Kearney exhibition Mechanism. Using methods of observation participants will develop traditional drawing skills and techniques through largescale/small drawings of the installations set in the architectural space of The Dock.
Kiera O’ Toole is a visual artist / researcher who is currently an artist in residence in Leitrim Sculpture Centre and has a studio based at The Model Arts and Niland Gallery, Co Sligo. She has studied Fine Art at Dublin Institute of Technology graduating in 2000 and completed a MPhil (Fine Art) in Newcastle University, Australia in 2013.
Participants should bring to the workshop pencils – HB, 2B, 6B, graphite stick, eraser, willow charcoal, blade, assorted brushes, masking tape, coloured pencils and other dry drawing materials and paper or surfaces for drawing on that vary in sizes.
