Mould Making and Slip Casting with Adele Stanley, Co. Waterford

Slip casting is a ceramic technique in which any object can be cast hollow in clay. A layer of clay is formed on the inside of a plaster mould; multiple casts can be taken from one mould.

In this two day course Adele Stanley will guide you through the techniques of mould making and slip casting. On the first Saturday you will make a plaster mould(s) and on the second Saturday you will take casts from these using liquid clay (slip).

Bring a few objects to cast from. Lunch will be provided.

Price includes all materials, firings and lunch.
