Modern Calligraphy for Beginners with Eithna Joyce, Galway

Introduction to dip pen and ink. Learning and practising the basic strokes and alphabet and progressing to short words. No previous experience necessary.

Explore a fresh and contempoary approach to the age old skill of beautiful writing with a revived and reimagined style of calligraphy – this style of calligraphy is already proving popular with typelovers and wedding parties across the US and UK.

Eithna Joyce, artist and calligrapher, will introduce you to the joys of writing with pointed nib and ink learning the basic techniques, letter forms and how to compose words and phrases.

A starter kit of all the materials required are supplied for the workshop and to keep afterwards so that you can continue practicing at home.
