Exhibition Opening: Saturday 20th October 2pm-5pm Music by the artist: Saturday 27th October 2pm – 3pm Kría is the Icelandic word for Arctic tern. In June 2018 Susan Hughes spent one month in Northern Iceland on the tiny island of Hrísey. Hrísey is a bird sanctuary housing the largest breeding colony of Arctic terns in Europe as well as dozens of other bird species. The island was quiet in terms of human activity but the birds, whales and midnight sun kept life vivid, strange and exciting.
