A series of alternative landscapes. In this solo exhibition of paintings and collages by rural artist, Rozzi Kennedy, she approaches the landscape in a contemporary fashion, with respect to the fact its existence dates back many generations. Some of the paintings joyfully evoke obscure pieces of history, preserved in the National folklore Collection but now gone from collective memory. Recurring themes such as culture, place, time, taste and value are represented in the work. The well lit and spacious Alley Art Gallery offers the perfect viewing platform for the work.
