Manifesta, the European Nomadic Biennial, changes it location every two years. Each edition of Manifesta reflects on developments in contemporary art and culture within the specific context of the host city. The 13th edition of Manifesta will take place in Marseille in the summer of 2020.
The General Coordinator is responsible for the management and organization of the Association Manifesta 13 Marseille, working as a member of the Management team with the Heads of department and reporting to the Director of Manifesta, Hedwig Fijen. S/he administers the organisation, monitors the public tendering procedures and ensures compliance with labour regulations, as well as all legal and fiscal requirements. S/he links the Management team to the City of Marseille and local and international stakeholders.
Manifesta is looking for a flexible personality with strong organizational background in an international cultural environment with distinguished skills in project management and administration. S/he has an established professional network and is able to work with local and remote teams. S/he is able to work effectively in a dynamic environment to diverse requirements.
Full time May 2018 – April 2021
Salary commensurate with experience.
