Cork Printmakers is seeking to appoint a dynamic leader with both strong business skills and experience in the visual arts to fulfil the role of Director. They will inspire, motivate and support staff and artist members, working in partnership with different stakeholders on initiatives to encourage new and existing audiences. They will work closely with the board of directors to continue developing the studio’s well-regarded programme ensuring its continued success for the next exciting phase of development.
Founded in 1991, Cork Printmakers fine art printmaking studio is an artists’ re-source, providing the space, facilities and equipment necessary to create artwork through the medium of printmaking. Cork Printmakers work with talented local and international artists in researching, developing, and creating new works to the highest standards of practice. Artists and staff share knowledge and expertise in exploring and push-ing the medium of print into new and exciting avenues.
Cork Printmakers facilitates professional development for artists and encourages collaborative work, through a range of dynamic programmes, projects and awards, as well as an exciting range of courses, exhibitions, and outreach programmes, and has established itself as a key agent in the cultural life of the city.
