VISUAL Centre for Contemporary Art and The George Bernard Shaw Theatre is one of Ireland’s leading contemporary art spaces, an iconic civic arts centre in Carlow Town in the east of Ireland. It comprises world-class gallery spaces and performance facilities and an exceptional programme of international and national visual arts practice.

VISUAL is seeking a dynamic Chief Executive / Artistic Director, to lead it into its next phase of development, as a major arts facility serving the locality, the region and the country, and in celebrating its 10th Anniversary in 2019.

This is a high-profile and inspiring role for an energised and charismatic creative leader, with extensive management experience across both the arts and business spheres. The successful applicant will require a balance of exceptional commercial acumen, artistic vision and programming, personal commitment and arts / venue management experience.
