The successful candidate will have a leading role in producing all aspects of the programme at Pallas Projects and a key role in supporting the directors as assistant curator, including during an open-submission process in November 2018. The successful candidate’s role will also involve liaising with artists, conducting necessary research, working with Pallas Projects’ communications assistant to oversee content for – website, social media and advertising, conducting research for fundraising and to support funding applications, supporting the production of a fundraising auction, including catalogue design and production, as well as overseeing and programming the work of gallery technician where appropriate.
The successful candidate will be interested in arts and culture, in particular contemporary art. He or she must be highly motivated and enthusiastic with the necessary skills to perform the role outlined above, To this end, he or she must be able to demonstrate curatorial leadership and programme delivery skills appropriate to the role as well as an ability to adopt a strategic approach to the elements of role described above, including the ability to take the initiative when necessary. The successful candidate will be aware of Pallas Projects’ activities, with an understanding of what an artist-run space is and what its needs are. Please research this requirement before applying.
