Application deadline: Monday 5 November, 12 noon.
Artsadmin is seeking a new Artistic Director to succeed its founder, Judith Knight, after forty years with the organisation. Over that time, Artsadmin has become one of the most respected performing arts producers in the world. We are looking for an inspirational arts leader to share Chief Executive responsibilities with the organisation’s new Executive Director Deborah Chadbourn.
Artsadmin produces the work of artists across a variety of disciplines – performance, dance, theatre, live art, installation – from unique large-scale site specific projects to work created for theatres and galleries, across the UK and internationally. In Toynbee Studios, Artsadmin has established an exciting centre in east London where new talent is nurtured in its rehearsal, performance and meeting spaces.
We are looking for a dynamic individual to lead the overall artistic direction of Artsadmin and ensure that all artistic activity is of the highest quality. In partnership with the Executive Director and Joint Chief Executive, the Artistic Director will lead the team at Artsadmin, overseeing the artistic and economic development, and future planning of the organisation. Together they will ensure that the values of Artsadmin – sustainable, collaborative and bold – are upheld in all aspects of the organisation’s work.
Applications should be made directly to recruitment consultant David Micklem on firstname.lastname@example.org. You are encouraged to take up the offer of a confidential conversation with David Micklem before applying. Email him to arrange a time to talk.
