There will be two half-day sessions of watercolour painting on geological themes with Shevaun Doherty SBA and the Irish Geological Association. Shevaun is an exhilarating and award-winning Irish watercolourist as well as an absolutely wonderful teacher.
During the weekend, on Saturday afternoon, an excursion to visit an awe-inspiring Exhibition entitled “Stones, Slabs and Seascapes: George Victor Du Noyer’s Images of Ireland” at the beautiful Crawford Gallery, Cork will further inspire participants. A tour of the Exhibition will be led by Petra Coffey, a Co-Curator, with Peter Murray, of fascinating and rarely shown art work. The Exhibition commemorates the 200th Anniversary of Du Noyer’s birth. George Victor Du Noyer was a most talented and prolific painter who recorded many aspects of life and landscape all over the island of Ireland as part of his work for the Geological and Ordnance Surveys of Ireland.
