Opening reception: 17 November, 2pm Infant completes [backspace]’s final attempt to imagine the future by rewriting the past. Showcasing her work at Gwyn’s Cafe and Pavilion, where the site once served as an orphanage, artist Yarli Allison arrives at this last stage of the life cycle in searching for a new reading of adolescence, negligence, reconnection and rebirth. Audience will find themselves peeping through a belly-button-shaped shell to view moving images investigating quality of innate curiosity and warmth.
