The Arts Council announces round one of the Festivals Investment Scheme (FIS) for festivals taking place January–June 2019.
The Council recognises the distinctive role arts festivals play in sustaining a vibrant and sustainable arts profile at a local level. Festivals provide opportunities for artists and audiences to experience new work and ways of making work. The Council acknowledges the valuable contribution made by voluntary committees in developing these festivals. The scheme will be open to multi-disciplinary festivals, single artform festivals and ‘linked events’ that take place throughout the calendar year over a number of months (e.g. a concert series).
Maximum awarded €35,000

Applicant type: Organisation
There are three bands of funding available:
Band A: Up to €7,000
Band B: Between €7,001 and €20,000
Band C: Between €20,001 and €35,000

Festival Investment Scheme Clinics
The clinics are designed to support festivals who wish to apply to either of the two rounds of the Festivals Investment Scheme (FIS). The clinics are designed to guide festivals through the application process and provide further information on the scheme. A presentation will be followed by a short question and answers session.
