From Life Drawing To Life Painting with Alan McGowan at Schoolhouse for Art

Over the three days, under Alanโ€™s guidance, students will concentrate on developing the relationship between life drawing and oil painting whilst considering mark-making, colour and the handling properties of paint. The consideration of accuracy of observation and measurement will be looked at in relation to freedom of expression, exploration of materials and engagement with an expressive and individual painterly language.

Students will receive regular one-to-one guidance throughout the course. Material list provided on registration.

Day 1 โ€“ Approach to drawing, and itโ€™s development into drawing with paint โ€“ some short poses.
Day 2 and 3 โ€“ Two longer poses, developed over 2 days.
