Four Day Glass Fusing with Linda Mulloy, Westport, Co. Mayo

This Four Day Course will give you the opportunity to thoroughly explore the beautiful effects you can get from glass fusion. Participants say that they enjoy having time to really get absorbed and into ‘the zone’ of fusing.

There is no expectation for participants to have any artistic expertise so don’t worry if you’ve never touched a paintbrush in your life. We will be using coloured glass and the techniques are very different from most other art forms.

You will learn how to get different effects from clear and opaque glass, how to use frit and stringers (and what they are!) to great effect, how to think in glass and colour, and, a very necessary skill, how to cut glass.

You tutor will be Linda Mulloy. She has been teaching glass fusion for many years and is well known for her technique of adding fused inclusions into stained glass. She says that she particularly enjoys this 4 day course because it gives the participants time to explore their own glass path (!) and they appear to get a huge amount out of it.

All materials supplied. Don’t wear sandals.
