Experimental Artists’ Books Workshop with Andi McGarry at the National Print Museum

In this workshop, participants learn through seeing and making visual books, artist’s books, and unique one of a kind pieces. Participants are walked through simple binding methods and attempt to capture basic narratives in book form. The accent is on making and doing, exploring, hands on, experiential learning, visual books, one-of-a-kinds, paper folding techniques, bindings, Japanese stab bindings, printing, mono printing, card printing and basic sewing techniques – a fun filled – book making factory! A selection of artist’s books from the Wexford Artists Book Collection on hand to help inspire, delight and surprise. Suitable for all levels of maker.
