DIS/ORDER | Democracia at Rua Red, Dublin 24
28 April, 2pm to 5pm
Rua Red Gallery will host a special event to accompany our most recent exhibition ORDER by Spanish artists Democracia. The event will start with a reading from Hesiod’s Works & Days, the primary inspiration for ORDER, by acclaimed theatre maker and activist Grace Dyas. Following the reading, the creators of ORDER – Spanish artists Democracia, Iván López & Pablo España – will be in conversation with a/political producer Philip Howe to discuss their artistic collaboration, their political drives and the challenges of producing their monumental operatic work.
Attendees are advised to arrive at 1.15pm to allow for a viewing of the work prior to the talk. There will also be an opportunity before and after the event to create an artwork, a screen-printed tote bag, using graphics and statements from the exhibition. (Small additional charge for tote bag.)
